Our team have gathered for one purpose, to see those vulnerable to addiction set free and living a healthy, purposeful life. Our Board is responsible for the governance and stewardship of Transformations within Australia. Each Board member is a passionate volunteer that brings a diverse range of skills, expertise, and experience to their role and regularly meets throughout the year.
Management Team
Mike Barrett – CEO / Board Director
Michael is the CEO and founder of Transformations Program Australia. With over 22 years of experience in the sector, he holds Diplomas in AOD, Mental Health and Counselling. Michael is just as passionate about Transformations today as the day he started in 1999. Through the help of the Transformations network and community, he has seen countless lives change for good. Michael brings his expertise in holistic recovery incorporating spirituality into individualised treatment plans. He has founded several social enterprises over the years which cater to those looking for luxury rehabilitation. Michael’s dream is see the Transformations program multiply to other parts of Australia and other parts of the world becoming an internationally recognised rehabilitation program.
Tina Davie – General Manager
Tina Davie has over 30 years experience working in the Drug & Alcohol field. She holds a Bachelor of Science majoring in Psychology; and a Graduate Diploma in Counselling. She started her career working in the mining towns west of Queensland as a Drug and Alcohol counsellor and in the early 90’s worked with homelessness in Brisbane. She went onto set up a recovery house and a drop-in counselling centre with a passion for helping those affected by drug and alcohol addiction.
In 2010, she helped set up with a team, Bayside Transformations and now sits as Executive Director over the Bayside Campus as well as serving on the Transformations Board of Directors. Tina has continued to help grow a successful social enterprise (Bayside Vegies) and an Op shop as commercial ventures to support the Bayside Transformations Campus.
Her heart is to see addicts find hope, a new life, and participate in expanding the Transformations program nationally and worldwide. She has recently been appointed as the General Manager of the Transformations program.
Katy Tait – Campus Director
Katy has over 20 years experience in leadership across community, business and faith-based organisations. She has been working for Transformations for 5 years and loves seeing people free to live a life of connection and purpose. Katy holds a diploma in community service, a graduate certificate in business and is currently completing her masters in business (not for profit). She is passionate about mentoring emotionally healthy leaders, influencing organisational culture and empowering teams to function effectively.
Lisa Love – Hervey Bay Campus Director
Lisa has worked at Bayside Transformations for over 10 years. She is passionate about the therapeutic community and the journey of recovery. She has a Diploma in AOD and currently studying a Bachelor of Counselling.
Our Board
Renaldo Polo – Board Director
Renaldo is a practising solicitor passionate about counselling and assisting individuals, businesses and corporations to find solutions for their legal problems. He has assisted in the establishment of several not for profit organisations. Renaldo has diverse experience and interests in hospitality, construction, development, finance and other general business. He has had the opportunity to sit on several boards as director. Has been a Transformation board member since 2015 and looks forward to assisting Transformations in its future growth.
Peter Hull – Chairperson
Peter is currently a business owner however previously to this has had over 40 years experience serving on many ministry boards, community boards and committees. He has served as a Senior Pastor for most of his life and had a very proactive life in the community as a key leader in School P&C’s, Scripture Union Chaplaincy Committees, Strikeforce Bible College, Apostolic Church Australia and missions projects in Uganda. Earlier in his ministry life he managed a long term accommodation program for ‘at risk’ youth as well as a Christian rehabilitation program. He has also worked in the secular industry as a Private School Business Manager and the Construction Industry as a state leader specialising in building and managing teams that respond to building work after natural disasters in Australia. Peter’s broad experiences allows him to bring a unique perspective to Transformations and he is passionate about building strong organisations.
Dale Smith – Board Director
Dale is a qualified accountant with a Bachelor of business degree and is a member of the Australian Society of CPA’s. For 39 years Dale has been practicing as a CPA and he holds a practising certificate. He works with many ministries and Christian businesses, assisting with their financial affairs including accounting, taxation, and corporate governance. Dale sits on several boards of churches and ministry organisations throughout Australia. He is the Queensland coordinator of Victory Life International, a recognised denomination. Dale is now executive pastor of the River Church on the Gold Coast but also is active in supporting many churches and ministries. Dale is president of a ministerial organisation (ICFM) with approximately 100 members in Australia.
Angela McMahon – Board Secretary
Angela is a accomplished business strategist with 30 years of experience in corporate, SME, and not-for-profit sectors. She has a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a natural talent for leadership, planning and people development. With a background that includes CEO role founding a charity, and working at renowned organizations like Thompson Reuters, UK and World Vision Australia. She has a Diploma in Business and Finance as well as a Post-graduate Diploma from Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM UK), Life Coaching and Work Behavioural Training.
Over the past 12 years, she has been actively consulting, coaching, and mentoring start-ups, SMEs, individuals and leaders. Her strategic approach and relational style allow her to delve into the heart and foundations of businesses and individuals, helping them achieve their mission and purpose.
Aldo Antolli – Board Member
Aldo Antolli has extensive experience in high level executive functions, having been involved in the senior management of various organisations over the course of more than a decade. Aldo’s experience goes well beyond corporate governance alone having a Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) and experience working within the disability sector for the NSW Government and NFP sector. He moved to Tasmania with his family in 2015 and took on the role of CEO at Pathways Tasmania, taking the organisation to new levels of service delivery and staff growth. Aldo (through Pathways Tas) has partnered with Transformations for the past three years in overseeing the Transformations Program delivery in the Hobart Campus. He brings a wealth of experience to the board and is committed to seeing the Transformations Program strengthen.
Michael Valituti – Board Member
In 1990, Michael commenced his business as Surfers Paradise Locksmiths. He operated from a purpose fitted van and solely provided a 24hr mobile locksmith service for eight years, before taking on a partner and several employees.
Michael, along with his partners in 2001 had the foresight to expand the business, which to date includes an electronic division, a security division, and an architectural hardware division. As Managing Director of SPL Security Solutions, Michael is responsible for the overall commercial operations of the business, which currently employs a very experienced team of nearly 100 qualified staff members. Michael has been a supporter of Transformations for the past 20 years and his entrepreneurial mind is an asset to the Transformations board.
