We
our volunteers
We love our volunteers!
Since its beginning, Transformations has relied heavily on skilled volunteers to keep the program affordable and accessible to anyone who needs recovery. In 2010 over one-third of Australians 18 and over participated in volunteer work. While volunteering is a benefit to us as an organisation, it also gives the volunteer an opportunity to:
Express their values and passions
Form new relationships and connect to professional networks
Gain work experience and learn new skills
Develop themselves personally and build confidence
Improve their mental health and well-being as helping others brings joy and a sense of fulfilment
Challenge themselves in a new and encouraging environment
Help their community by advocating for a specific cause
Have fun!
